Prenatal Care

  • Prenatal visits 45 minutes in length with one of our midwives.  Following the ACOG recommended schedule. 
  • Amabella has an obstetrician on staff as our consulting physician as needed for patient care needs.
  • Physical assessment (vitals, baby's heart tones, baby and mom's growth, lab work, etc.) of mother and baby at each visit.
  • Individualized education, review, and discussion of your options at each prenatal visit.  We are co-creators of your health care and walk alongside you to have a healthy and safe pregnancy.
  • Routine risk assessment throughout your entire pregnancy.
  • In-office/home collection of lab work for routine prenatal tests and genetic testing (blood work and cultures).
  • Referrals for ultrasounds, chiropractors, physicians, pediatricians, acupuncture, childbirth education, doulas, and much more.
  • Empowered, gentle, education to help you and your family make the best decision for the childbearing year in health, wellness, and safety.
  • Allopathic or holistic plans for common discomforts in pregnancy.
  • On-Call 24/7 Midwife support available to you during your pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum period.

Experienced Labor & Birth Support

  • The midwife and her assistant are on call 24/7 for your labor & birth
  • Each midwife or assistant has a minimum of five years birth experience
  • Your team (midwife and assistant) are with you in the birth center from active labor until delivery. 
  • Choose the way you labor and birth with minimal interventions and unlimited support.
  • Choose the family, children, or friends you have in your birth space.
  • Freedom to move, eat, drink, sit on birth balls, in the shower, etc.
  • The option for a water birth if desired
  • Monitoring of mother's vitals during labor, delivery & postpartum.  IV fluids and antibiotics available if necessary.
  • Monitoring of baby's heart rate throughout labor via hand held doppler. 
  • Supported by your midwives throughout labor without the need to advocate for your desires.
  • Medications management for after birth bleeding.
  • Gentle placenta delivery with delayed cord clamping.
  • Golden Hour/Skin-2-Skin supported after birth for you and your baby.
  • Breastfeeding guidance, education, and support. 
  • Our midwives are trained to initiate and facilitate a timely transfer of care or emergency management when needed.
  • Average four hour postpartum stay after delivery.

Holistic Postpartum Care

Navigate early postpartum with confidence and support with a 48 hour visit from your midwives. Come back to the office and for your final visit at 6 weeks

  • Check “birth certificate” off of the postpartum to-do list knowing your midwives have filed it for you. 
  • Get an extra layer of support and know that your baby is healthy and well with exams during each prenatal visit
  • Referral to trusted pediatricians when needed
  • Family planning counseling so you can build your family when and how you want
  • Unlimited support and access to the on-call midwife via text, portal messages, and phone calls 24/7
